Basketball is one of the most actively played and supported sports at MLRIT, with strong male and female participation, regular competitions, and excellent coaching support.
- Outdoor full-court basketball grounds with cement flooring.

- Court access available to both day scholars and hostel students.
Usage & Recognition
- Daily evening practice sessions under expert sports faculty.
- Selection trials conducted every year to pick fresh talent.
- MLRIT students have been selected for the JNTUH Basketball Team.
- Competed in All India and South-Zone University Tournaments.
- Players undergo selection through on-campus zonal tryouts.
